Refine an image with the clarity control in three steps:
Choose a JPG, PNG, or WebP image up to 10 MB. Processing takes place locally in your browser.
Open Finetune and select Clarity. Move the slider right for stronger texture and local contrast, or left for a softer appearance.
Review fine details at a useful zoom level. When the result looks balanced, click 'Save' to download the edited image as a PNG file.
Increase clarity to make edges and midtone texture appear more defined, or reduce it for a softer effect. Small adjustments can add depth without changing the image's overall dimensions.

Move the clarity slider while viewing the result, then stop when the image looks natural. This is a manual editing control, not an AI upscaler, and it does not generate missing detail or increase resolution.
Open the control you need, preview the change, and save the result without navigating a complex desktop editor.
Use focused tools for dimensions, orientation, tone, color, annotations, text, frames, and selective blur.
Review edits directly in the browser and refine the settings before downloading the finished image.
Common editing operations run on your device, reducing the wait for a server upload and response.
Your source image is processed locally in the browser and is not uploaded to an Imglarger server.

Clarity mainly changes local contrast around edges and midtone texture. It can make details look more defined or softer, but it does not add new pixels or recover missing detail.
Not exactly. Clarity usually affects broader local contrast and texture, while sharpening targets finer edges. For blurry images that need AI-assisted enhancement, use Imglarger's AI Image Sharpener.
The editor accepts JPG, JPEG, PNG, and WebP images up to 10 MB and downloads the edited result as PNG.
